Ireton's parks are clean, safe, well-maintained by the city, and offer a variety of activities.
City Park (S.E. part of town Between 7th & 8th Streets and Oak and Maples). Home to the swimming pool and to the Ireton Ballpark and offers a variety of playground equipment, a basketball court, many picnic tables, large shady trees, an open shelter and an enclosed shelter house. Camping pads were added in the summer of 2013. It shares modern restroom facilities and a concession stand with the Ireton Ballpark.
The open shelters at City Park and North Park are available on a first-come, first serve basis. The enclosed shelter at City Park may be rented through the City Administrator's office.
The ball park is currently under a huge update thanks to grants and personal donations. Stay tuned for updates and hopefully pictures. Plans are to be finished in time for the 2017 ball season.
North park, on the southwest corner of First & Main, offers several pieces of playground equipment, a sand volleyball court, and an open Shelter House and grill.
